Micah is EIGHT MONTHS OLD. Last weekend he woke up SCREAMING several (SEVERAL) times last Friday night. It took most of the night, but sometime around 5 or 6 Saturday morning I remembered Isaiah used to do the exact same thing when he had an ear infection. Thankfully, our pediatrician has walk in hours on Saturday, so I got him in and...double ear infection. Not surprised, but poor little guy! And I forgot how difficult it is to medicate an infant. Between the antibiotic and the Tylenol we were giving him at first (to help with that pain), Micah got to where he did not trust anything we were trying to get in his mouth. I don't remember when Isaiah got better about it, but I can't wait for that! (Not that I like giving the boys medicine...but, if I have to, I want it to be easy!)
Micah's third tooth is coming in as well. Top, middle. A lot of other bumps are in his gums, so I'm wondering how quickly the rest are going to be coming in.
Sleep has been awesome the past couple nights. Well, Micah's sleep (I have nasty congestion). Ever since he was born, Micah has slept in my arms. Basically, my arm has been his pillow. I'm ready to start working on getting him to start out the night in his bed. First step has been getting him to sleep on his own in our bed. The past 2-3 nights, he's not only not been in my arms but he's slept from 10ish until 5ish no problems. It is AWESOME (though probably is heralding the return of my period...boo!) Last night he didn't even wake at 10!
I'm finally admitting that I need to move his clothes up a size. At this rate, he won't be in 12-month for long, just because he should have been in it for a bit. We just don't have the money right now. Damn joblessness!! I got him a couple pairs of pants yesterday because they were on sale.
We are FINALLY switching his daycare! They had a spot open at the daycare Isaiah is at. Thank GOODNESS! One day last week Jeremy showed up to get Micah and they told him he was out of milk and was probably hungry. OH.MY.GOSH PEOPLE....CALL me when he FINISHES his food so we can get him before he gets hungry! WTF?!? So ready to get him switched! It will also be MUCH easier to pick up both the boys at the same place, instead of driving an extra 30 minutes to just get Micah.
Micah is getting really good at sitting. I bet he would be better if anyone but me ever had him doing it. Jeremy usually plays with him laying on the ground, and at daycare they are either holding him, or he's laying down. Annoying, but whatever. He will get there eventually. He's also standing with help, but I definitely don't move my hands away from his sides. He tries to pull up, but hasn't successfully since that time he surprised me...a couple months ago, I think?
