Micah @ 2 Months

Stats
12 lbs (92%)
21 3/8" (60%)

Micah is 2 months old as of yesterday. He had his checkup yesterday morning and looks great. TWELVE pounds already! He gained 2 pounds between his 1 month and 2 month checkups! What a little chunk he is :D. He hasn't gotten any longer so is in the 15th percentile for length, but I'm sure it will come eventually. Head circumference is something like 68th percentile, so he's got a big ol' noggin too.

Shots suck. I'm totally okay with vaccinations, I believe they're necessary...but stupid tetanus SUCKS! I tried everything I could think of to soothe Micah for 45 minutes before giving in and getting him some Tylenol. I don't like giving medicine, especially when he's so young, but I started to feel like I was being mean for not doing something I KNEW would help him. The paper from the doctor's office said a 5-11 pound infant could have .4 mL and so my 12 pound baby got about half that and it helped. I felt okay with really minimizing the amount he got, particularly since it made him happier.

Micah has started rolling over somewhat regularly. It seems to happen more when he's just woken up than when he's tired...I guess he has more energy? He's also has gotten really great at holding up his own head, even when I'm jiggling him around. He's in 3 month clothes and size 2 diapers so just putting on weight like a champ. Isaiah is still completely in love with him, though we've had some rough days lately with what Micah needs outranking playing with Isaiah. I hate seeing Isaiah so upset, but a screaming baby outweighs what Isaiah wants....and I don't know how to explain that it's temporary.

Isaiah is having major trouble sleeping in his own bed. He keeps getting scared of something but can't tell us what. I tried to put him to bed the other night and he came out after just a few minutes completely freaked out! I just put him in our bed and Jeremy moved him later. It's not really even worth it to move him, though because he just comes right back. I want to try putting his bed back in our room for a while and see how that goes, but Jeremy really doesn't like that idea. It seems like having him in his bed in our room all night is better than the 4 of us sharing a queen bed. Of course, that's just me because I can't really roll over and have Micah sleep in the middle next to his brother because Isaiah just crowds us. Jeremy isn't as bothered by Isaiah so it makes sense that he doesn't care about moving the bed.
