He's such a cute little guy. Still LOVES his brother...I really like watching him watch Isaiah. I think Isaiah's really starting to like how interactive Micah is becoming.
The drool...ohmygosh the drool. Micah has all four of his front teeth just sitting there ready to break through. He will chew the crap out of my fingers...totally gnaw on them full force. Poor guy, I'm so ready for those chompers to come through already.
Micah's big thing is eating. He still nurses constantly (it seems like) and eats a few times at night even. Thankfully, with cosleeping neither of us fully have to wake up for night feeds so we don't lose out that way. I can't remember if I mentioned that we started feeding him real food, but it's going really well. We started with bananas because we had some laying around and he would just STARE at us while we ate dinner. So I started letting him eat. He HATED cereal, so we went to fruit. Micah also loved sucking on a chunk of cantaloupe, but refused to eat it when I pureed it. Peach was a miss the first time, but seemed to like it the second. He LOVED carrots and gobbled them up every time we've given him some. We tried green beans for the first time last night and he loved them too! I think he pretty much just enjoys anything and likes the variety he's getting into his diet. Still no slow down on nursing with all the food we've introduced so I'm happy. We only feed him baby food at night, and he still nurses before/after, so we definitely aren't trying to replace anything.
I guess food is the biggest thing in the past month.
Micah has also started rolling to get around. I'm not sure if he means to go where he ends up, but he will roll repeatedly now and end up across the room. He's getting better at sitting, but still doesn't have the hang of it unless there's help of some sort for him. He still prefers “standing” to sitting, and is getting better at practicing his walking.
His hair is finally growing! Its thin and blond so it hasn't looked like much up to now, but you can tell its getting some length to it. And he has certainly become Mr. Grabby Pants. Oh! And he fits 9 month clothes...which SUCKS because we don't have much for him to wear!
I guess that's all the new stuff for now!
Next week he will be starting daycare. So sad! I'm glad he got to stay home for 5 months, most of that with me. I'm sure it's still going to be hard to leave him. I hope he doesn't give me his sad face when he starts realizing what's going on. That is going to make it SO hard!
