"I'm gonna draw something really cool for you. Handcuffs."

Conversations with Isaiah 03.001

Me: Is Ruff chewing on his bone?
Isaiah: Ummm, yeah.
Me: Are you sure? Can you see him?
Isaiah: Ummmm, maybe he's chewing on a cat.

Isaiah @ 3 Years

Stats
35 lbs (75%)
37 1/8" (50%)

Isaiah's birthday weekend went well. He loved the toy we got him and going to Build a Bear, but I really think the highlight was when his cousins came up on Sunday for cake and presents. They played really well in his room for a couple hours (minus a horrific nosebleed - ohmygosh it was the worst one Isaiah's had!) and then we went to IHOP for dinner. Then this morning Isaiah was bouncing on the couch saying "Oh yeah! That was the best party ever!!".

Mommy Thoughts

I've reached the point in pregnancy where I look at my giant belly and wonder where in the world 2 more months of growing is going to fit!

Conversations with Isaiah 02.037

After I picked Isaiah up today he started telling me about how he wanted to take his green ball outside and play with it when it got warmer. I asked if he wanted to kick or throw it and he said "throw it up to the sky". So I asked if he was going to throw it to Mars (basically "really far") and he said "Yeah, to Mars. Where Becca is from."

Conversations with Isaiah 02.036

Before 8:00 this morning Isaiah told me he'd had a "long, long day". What? He'd only gotten up and watched some Spongebob! Yeah, its tortue to me, but I he likes the stupid show!

NST

Remember how I've said I think this baby is going to be more trouble than his brother? Case in point: I had my first non stress test today. The little stinker has days where he's really quiet but usually at night he will move a good bit. Last night, nah. Barely moved. I was already on edge from the other 2 days of not moving so I started actually doing kick counts (usually I can just tell by how much he's moving if it's a quiet or active day). In the 3 hours I counted he moved 11-12 times. It's supposed to be 10 every 1 or 2 hours...I can't remember but regardless he didn't meet either. I kept trying to eat different things and got up to move (switch classrooms) then sat again for a while. Nothing could get him to perk up and move more than 2-3 times.

By 1 I gave in and called the doctor's office. I had to leave campus just as my last class was starting because they wanted me to go have the test done. By now he'd probably moved 6 more times (in another 2 hours) so I was just fine to skip it and email my professor later. I drive up to the hospital and almost as soon as I was hooked up to the monitors he starts moving around. It's like hearing his heartbeat woke him up.

Ohmygosh the little STINKER! I felt SO silly (and so very, VERY relieved) when I left. They told me the test would take an hour but I was done in 15-30 minutes because he just perked right up and started moving. And he's been acting more like normal ever since. I hope there isn't 10 more weeks of this!
