Me: I think you can have a hot dog or a cheese taco.
Isaiah: Ummmmm, I'm mad at you, so I want McDonald's.

Isaiah: Okay! Don't squash me!

Mini Updates

He's recently become obsessed with having things to put in his mouth, so he's a little harder to entertain. He's suddenly a pro at rolling side-to-side and is doing well with rolling on to his back. He's almost gone back-to-belly a few times but seems to realize where he's going and stops himself. He isn't pooping every day anymore, which is pretty normal for breastfed babies I guess. I'm still trying to figure out if it's bothering him or not. Some nights he REALLY seems squirmier than he used to, but I can't really blame that on anything specific. Last time he pooped it had been 4 days and I spent a lot of time massaging his belly and doing bicycle legs. He pooped twice that day and then nothing since then. I guess I need to do more massages and stuff this afternoon. I'm worried he will become dependent on that stuff to poop and I doubt they will do that at daycare. 

We got Isaiah enrolled in a Montessori program at church. He will be switching to that daycare sometime in the beginning of August (maybe) and then have school in the morning. I'm hoping it's a good fit for him. We've already started talking about going to school at the church and he seems okay with it. I just don't want to leave him where he is when they want to leave him in the same room for 2 years! At least with Montessori it's more flexible and kids get to do things based on development, not age so much. He's a smart kiddo, I don't want him to get bored with school before it really starts.

Conversations with Isaiah 03.049

Tonight we were talking about family dynamics...aunts/sisters, brothers/uncle, and husband/wife...I asked Isaiah if he thought he'd have a wife someday. He said "Yeah.....maybe like Tinkerbell?"

Angels Among Us

Lori's (Jeremy's sister) service was yesterday. Basically, they just had a time for friends and family to get together and talk about "the good ol' days" with lots of food and the boys running around around it all. I met some of Jeremy's old teachers and other family members. A lot of people came to remember Lori.

The strangest thing happened about halfway through the time we were there. I was sitting on a chair talking to Isaiah when all of a sudden he said he had to go "tell that lady something". I asked if he meant Nana, because she was standing in the circle of women he pointed to. He said "no, that lady in the middle". I had no idea who he meant, but I let him go...even encouraging him when he got to the edge of the circle and looked back at me. My 3 year old walked into the middle of a group of women he didn't know (except his Nana) and went right up to Lori's best friend, and gave her a hug. I don't know if he said anything to her, no one heard him. When he came back I asked what he told her and he said he "couldn't tell me".

I don't know if the woman needed extra encouragement or what, but I fully believe there was something bigger than us at work there
